Roy "Sonny" Bramlett
2/1/1931 - 2/8/2010



DARLINGTON- Roy "Sonny" Bramlett, Jr. , age 79, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Central Baptist Church with burial following in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.


 Mr. Bramlett was born in Lee County, son of Mary Logan Bramlett the late Roy Bramlett, Sr. He served his country with the US Air Force in the Korean War. He was self-employed for 30 years. After his retirement he enjoyed working on clocks, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Central Baptist Church where he served in several positions for many years.


 Surviving in addition to his mother of Timmonsville are his wife of 55 years, Josey Anderson Bramlett, a daughter, Paula (Chris) Austin of Darlington; a son, Joey (Jennifer) Bramlett of Darlington, three grandchildren: Scott (Felicia) Austin, Tina (Wes) Moore and Jordan Renee Bramlett all of Darlington; three great grandchildren:  Talon, Kate and Troy Moore all of Darlington, three brothers: Ernest (Louise) Bramlett of Darlington, Luther (Joyce) Bramlett of Bishopville, Jimmy (Paula) Bramlett of Santee; two sisters; Betty Pigate of Aiken and Dianne (G.C.) Hatchell of Timmonsvile.


 He was preceded in death by a sister, Lottie Richardson.


 The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at Belk Funeral Home and other times at the home, 212 Ash Street, Darlington.


 Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 512 Spring Street, Darlington, SC 29532
